The couple, both 28, confirmed their engagement following a sweet moment at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards, where Zendaya was spotted flaunting a stunning diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger. Although Holland was absent from the event, a family source revealed to People magazine that the proposal took place during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Sources close to the couple shared that the engagement came as no surprise to those around them, with one insider mentioning that Holland had been eager to propose for quite some time. “Tom has always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special,” the source said.
Despite their big news, the pair are in no rush to tie the knot. “They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects,” added the insider. Holland has consistently shown his affection for Zendaya in public, with a sweet commitment to letting the world know she’s his.
The couple is also set to return for the next Spider-Man installment, which is expected to begin filming in the summer. They first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming, where they played Peter Parker (Holland) and his love interest MJ (Zendaya). The pair reprised their roles in subsequent films, Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home. Additionally, they are both slated to star in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey.
